Zahra Zeinali, MD, MPHFellowDr. Zahra Zeinali is a physician by training from Iran, Iran University of Medical Sciences, and has obtained an MPH degree customized in International Health and Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Zeinali is currently working with Global Health 50/50 as a researcher, and chairs the Intersectionality Working Group of the Gender Equity Hub of the WHO’s Global Health Workforce Network.Dr. Zeinali has previously served as a researcher with Johns Hopkins University on Gender and Intersectionality, resulting in a number of under-press peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. She has also worked as a policy officer with EAT Foundation and as an intern with the WHO and Jhpiego.She co-founded the Iranian Medical Students’ Association as a medical student and has several years of experience in leadership capacities with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, where she served as the Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Region.She is passionate about health policy and working towards improving determinants of health as a means to achieving health equity and prosperity for populations.Twitter: @zr_z
