Opeyemi Babajide, PhDFellowOpeyemi Babajide, a Demographer, Global Health Governance and Policy Researcher, and Population Health and Development Enthusiast, is a recent doctoral graduate at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Ibadan. Her research interests span population dynamics, health disparities, and inequalities. She was part of the technical working group (West and Central Africa) for African Population and Development Committee on the review of the international conference on population and development document (ICPD-25). She currently works as a Government and Community Relations Specialist with the West African Gas Pipeline Company. She also leads advocacy for rural women’s inclusion in household and community decisions and young girls’ enrollment in school and mentors young teenage girls to curb teenage pregnancy. She is interested in how data translates to decision-making, and she seeks to ensure that science drives programs to benefit the underserved and close the gaps of health disparities.At the 3-D Commission, she is a research fellow and is part of the novel research and conversations on issues of global population health at the intersection of the social determinants of health and data science.Twitter: @opelatona
