Leona Mawuena Ofei, MPH

Leona Mawuena Ofei is an MPH candidate at the Boston University School of Public Health with a focus on biostatistics & epidemiology and on global health program design, monitoring & evaluation. She earned her BS in Biology and Society and in Communication from Cornell University. Leona is passionate about health communication research and practice and improving physical and mental health literacy, particularly in low-to-middle income countries. Her interests also lie in exploring research and data on social determinants of health and utilizing them to improve population health outcomes, on a global scale. Leona has worked in various research capacities in Ghana and in the United States.
